Fiona's Play Date Cafe

We visited Fiona's Play Date Cafe and were pleasantly surprised with what this indoor play Cafe had to offer. We had visited a play Cafe a couple of years ago and that particular Cafe didn't offer the parental luxuries that Fiona's Cafe offered. A play Cafe is just that, half a play area and half a Cafe. It's a great venue to host play dates as the kids get a chance to play in secure and gated enclosures while the parents enjoy their beverage of choice (with food if needed!) They even provide party packages which I found to be pretty affordable! Fiona's Play Date Cafe is a perfectly sized venue and what I mean by that is that my children are never too far from me. In the play area was a sanitizing station with baby wipes and sanitizing wipes. As a clean freak Mommy, I really appreciated this! Both of their washrooms were clean and even offered a potty seat in the parent and baby room! What I liked about the washrooms was that it was located in the play area. Hooray I thought when I saw this, no need to inconveniently pack everything up just for a short trip to the washroom! I loved that they had a designated baby area (that's where baby H and I hung out) with baby-friendly toys. My son hung out in the toddler area and really enjoyed the inflatable jumping castle, the train table and the slide! Tables for eating are located on one side of the Cafe and couches are on the other for parents and/or caretakers to watch their kids in comfort. Extra chairs and high chairs are available too. Food is not allowed in the play area which promotes a more sanitary environment. The Cafe offers healthy options to not only parents but to children as well! I ordered a yogurt with granola, Baby H had an organic green squeezie and C had a grilled cheese sandwich with a side of crackers and apple juice! We paid around $15 for a couple of extra drinks and what I mentioned above which is a bit pricy but expected. Since food allergies are so common nowadays, Fiona's ask that no outside food be brought in. Although, some exceptions apply to children with certain food requirements you must call in before to let the staff know you will be bringing in your own food. Make sure you call ahead to reserve a spot for you and your children! I find that this is an excellent luxury that they offer because it beats driving all that way only to find out the Cafe is full. We really enjoyed our visit to Fiona's. I think it's a great place to relax with your kids without the worry. Both of my kids had a great time and played with a lot of the other play goers. I noticed a lot of cool shops around too so I'll be touring the area next time!
