DIY Holiday Sign
I've been itching for a DIY for so long and with Halloween finally done, we at the Ganief household are anticipating Christmas! I go a bit overboard with this particular holiday and I'm not sorry about it. Heehee. I thought this would be the perfect time to get something started!
I was pinning like crazy one night and I came across this, DIY Holiday Sign! I needed something to display in my small but quaint front entrance and this fit the bill. Not only did this only cost me about $15 to make, but it was easy and not at all time consuming. I also love how this is completely reversible!

Christmas (the cartoon version of myself loves it too!)
Supplies you'll need:
- 1 Wooden Plank (Home Depot sells smaller planks) $9
- Sand paper
- Alphabet Stencils (Michaels)
- Red and White paint $1
- Paint Brushes $1
Directions
I painted the entire plank first and then stenciled my letters using a different colour. If you wanted to make it look more rustic, I suggest finding a plank that's distressed already and adding stain to it. My plank was almost white in colour and looked brand new but I used my sand paper to make the letters look a bit more distressed. If you are using this for outdoor purposes, I suggest using stain or a sealer so that it stands strong against the winter months.
