Life Changing & Happy 2017!

I mentioned in my previous post that my family and I "have plans", life changing plans to be exact. I am so thrilled to finally be able to share with all of you just what plans those are!

As of January 1st, I will be leaving my current position and taking on a more flexible role within my current place of work. I am so fortunate to be working in an organization that understands and supports their employees. For those who know me well, they know just how much I enjoy my job, my place of work and my wonderful colleagues. I am however, so excited to be spending all of my days with my children. I'm fulfilling a dream that I've had since I found out I was pregnant with my son and I am so thankful that I am being given the opportunity to take some time to focus on my family.

Cheers to being a SAHM! Looking forward to spending my days with these kiddos!

_____________

2016 was full of adventures for my family and I. Despite some trying times, we've come out stronger and a whole lot more thankful. So THANK YOU, 2016 for the invaluable lessons learned and the memories we've made.

I always try to come up with a personal resolution list. This year I thought I'd simplify things and narrow it down to just a few that are not only meaningful but realistic (something people, including myself often forget when making these lists ;)).

To Experience Nature

My passion for the great outdoors seems to grow stronger every year. I value so much of what nature can teach not only myself but my children. I don't want them to be afraid of the cold, I want them to embrace every season. What a waste it would be to only praise the sunshine and warmth, when we can dance in the rain and build snow men too!

To Get in the Best Shape of my Life

I gained almost one hundred pounds during my last pregnancy and I managed to get to my goal weight within the year. I was determined, I was disciplined and I was where I wanted to be. Key note: WAS. I've slacked and I've indulged in a lot of delicious goodness but hey, I'm not complaining! I've dedicated one hour or the equivalent to an eight to ten kilometre run for four days in the week. I've dedicated myself to eating clean but looking to cook more flavourable meals (no more plain chicken breast!).

Have you made a personal resolution list? Do you have any intentions of sticking to your plans? Far more often than not, resolution lists are thrown out the window before the 6 month mark. Let's make 2017 a year of accomplishments and living a happier, more positive life!

I'm going to be putting up posts almost daily going forward. I've got a lot to catch up on, including a post about our amazing holiday Vegas trip we took that was not only our very first family trip but also the kids first time flying! Stay tuned!
