Free Activities for Kids in Delta, BC
Here's a list of activities parents can take their children to in Delta, BC! What I love so much about these programs is that it encourages learning in a fun environment and that it's all FREE!
1) Strong Start
This is a free program available to children from ages 0 to 5 years old. It begins with free-play and then circle time that includes a story as well as interactive games. During free-play there are stations set up like an arts and crafts table, puzzle table, play dough and imaginative play stations (puppets, baby, doctor, cars and trains!). The children are also provided a wholesome and nutritious snack, which is free for all attendees.

2) The Library
We live down the road from the George Mackie Library and we've never utilized it until today! They have a designated kids area which includes books for all ages, a colouring station, a play station as well as a reading station with kid-sized couches. My kids really enjoyed what was available to them to play with, to touch and in the Moose's case, to lovingly punch. Needless to say, we'll be visiting often.
3) Parent Child Mother Goose (George Mackie Library)
Enjoy rhymes, songs, and stories at the George Mackie Library! This is an interactive program for babies 15 months and younger with caregivers. Mother Goose helps your baby learn speech and language skills. Healthy snacks are provided!
