Hello readers, meet Chloe the owner behind Kitsilano's newest nail salon. What sets Lily & Roo apart from other salons is Chloe's dedication to sourcing ONLY pure, natural and ethically sourced products for use in her shop. This includes 3-free, 5-free, 7-free non-toxic nail polishes. Does Deborah Lippmann polishes ring a bell? Yep, she has got the ever so popular polishes available! As a mother herself, she too is just as aware as I am when it comes to what is put into our kids' systems. She prefers non-toxic, vegan and cruelty-free products. I love that she has combined her two loves, being a mum and her business. Her passion for both is seen through her shop and with the wish that her daughter could enjoy her space as well, shows effortlessly through the beautiful decor and retail products. With that being said, her salon is also kid-friendly. My daughter, Hana really enjoyed being pampered and I can rest easy knowing that the products being used with her are safe. These victories are what I'd like to call, Mom Wins! The more wins, the more wine? Hah.
Lily & Roo are big supporters of supporting local. The staff make it their own personal mission to source companies that share the same values in regards to wellness. They carry brands such as Cheile Skincare, a Vancouver-based company that was sourced for their all-natural serums. Guys, not only do these feel amazing during the massage, but they smell delightful too. They also featured some art created by a local artist; Yooni's plant art prints were giving me all sorts of life because you know, #CrazyPlantLadyLife amiright?
Chloe has made it seamless for her clients with the option for online booking. The system was user-friendly and provided detailed information about the service I was wanting and the length of time. I had a 3pm meeting that same day and was pretty impressed with how on the dot they were with time. They also provide free underground parking for their clients which is unheard of in Vancouver since parking spaces are rare, let alone free.

After getting our nails done, we headed to Thomas Haas for a warm drink and some dessert because you know, what's a girls day without something sweet? We also visited KidsBooks and got a kick out of all of their toys and collection of books.
